We are always blessed by groups that come to visit our campus. Over the years, we have developed lasting relationships with churches, schools and individuals who often come back to volunteer their time and energy to enrich our students and our campus. We are thankful to God for the encouragement they provide for us.

2008 Teams

Summer Missions Groups 2008
A lot was accomplished with help from various groups this summer. The summer teams worked very hard on murals, meshing, painting and construction. The foundation was started on our Vocational Training Centre. The group, Friends of J.C.S.D. is pleased and is grateful to the summer teams for their service in this area.

Men's Work Team, Faith Evangelical Free Church, Allentown, PA
These men spent a week at JCSD replacing a much needed water catchment system on the roof of both the dormitory and the dining hall buildings. They also painted the entire school with a paint sprayer that they had donated to the school several years ago.

Faith Evangelical Free Church or Allentown, PA has been so faithful in their continuing support of JCSD and the development of our campus. They have been working with JCSD since 1992, shortly after we purchased the land that our campus is currently on. We thank God for their faithfulness.

Deaf Bible School Team, Faith Evangelical Free Church, Allentown, PA
This team lead a Deaf Bible School (a type of Vacation Bible School) program from February 21 thru March 2, 2008. This is their 14th year that Faith Church has send a Deaf Bible Church Team to JCSD - the first year was 1994. The program will include a variety of activities including Bible Lessons, Art Projects, Gym Time, Craft Projects, Computer Instruction (for both students and staff), Video Time, Bible Memory and Lesson Review Games and a "Missions and Me" Time, which introduces the students to children of different cultures in a variety of foreign lands.

Egypt Community Church, Egypt, PA
This team of six will be at JCSD March 31 thru April 6 to do some light maintenance projects. This is their first time to go to JCSD and the team is being led by their Pastor, Larry Pickar.

First Baptist Church,Allentown, PA
Coming in June to minister not only to the school but also to the Robin's Nest Orphanage and to the Deaf Adults in the city of Montego Bay. This will be their first trip to Jamaica and it will be led by Susie Arndt who is also going with the Faith EFC Deaf Bible School Team in February 2008.

2007 Teams

Mission Team from Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring, PA
This group visited JCSD in the Spring of 2007 to put the roof onto the Staff Quarters building. The Staff Quarters building is one of the newer additions to our campus. We are excited to have a more permanent place to house our hard-working staff.

We thank God for Calvary Bible Fellowship from Sinking Spring, PA, and for the people there who have had a passion for JCSD and have given much financial support and hard work to support JCSD and develop our campus. Some of the men from this church have been coming to JCSD on work teams for the past 15 years, consecutively, to build the campus of JCSD.
