We are looking for sponsors who will support our students financially and with prayer and encouragment.
Just
this year Deaf people all over the world have been officially classified
as an "unreached people group". In addition
to never having an opportunity to hear the Gospel, deaf children
of Jamaica are often rejected and abused—outcasts of society.
Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf (JCSD) is making a difference
by offering deaf children an opportunity to receive a Christian
education in a nurturing environment.
Like the mother of Mikye Thompson, a newly enrolled
9 year old at JCSD, parents of deaf children are beginning to realize
that their deaf child is able to learn, reason, communicate and
dream of things they would like to accomplish with their life. Mikye
could have enrolled at JCSD when he was four years of age but because
his mother was unable to see Mikye’s potential, she now regrets
those five “lost” years in Mikye’s young life.
Now Mikye is “like a sponge” - just soaking up all that
he can learn.
Our mission at JCSD is to provide the deaf children
of Jamaica with an environment in which they can learn, grow and
achieve physically, academically and spiritually.
Thank you for your support and prayers as we strive
toward this goal.
We thank God for our summer missions groups. The summer teams worked very hard on murals, screening, painting and construction. I am happy to let you know that the foundation has started on our Vocational Training Centre.
Join the effort to finish the Staff Quarters. We currently have a church that has offered a $4000 Matching Gift Offer to encourage others to catch the vision to finish this building and bless the staff at JCSD.

Tour of our Campus.
We encourage our students to stay active in school competitions and community events. Upcoming student activites include:
National Special Olympics
Church performance in Mandeville
Performance at the Kiwanis Christmas tree lighting ceremony
